Given the apparent lack of progress in labor negotiations between the United Auto Workers (UAW) and the Detroit Three automakers, it seems highly likely that the UAW's 150,000 members will go on strike in mid-September. We anticipate that the strike could last for several weeks, given the significant differences between the two sides on various issues. Additionally, the UAW's $825 million strike fund and recently increased strike pay could potentially prolong the standoff.
