NEW YORK, May 22, 2023 – CFRA, the world’s leading provider of independent investment research, is today announcing that Patricia Wilson has joined the firm as Global Head of Research.
Ms. Wilson will oversee CFRA’s industry-leading teams of research analysts and will also play a key role in the further expansion of how CFRA clients are able to access and act upon CFRA insights and data.
Ms. Wilson began her career in asset management, holding a number of senior roles, including Head of Research for US Equities with Scottish Widows and Global Investment Manager with Longview Partners. Having accumulated more than 15 years of in-depth buyside research experience, Ms. Wilson joined Bloomberg where, as part of the original management team she built a team of400 analysts, established Bloomberg Intelligence as a global brand, and consistently introduced new ways to leverage data science and alternative data insights to drive innovations in information sharing, delivery, and analysis. Prior to leaving Bloomberg for a senior role with Kroll, she was Research Director for Data and Analytics.
“Patricia’s distinguished track record and her deep experience in both research and product management make her the ideal person to step into this role at an exciting inflection point for our firm,” said Theresa Torian, President & COO with CFRA. “The need among investors for differentiated, actionable research and data has never been greater, while at the same time the mechanisms through which that research is delivered have never been under more pressure from disruptive technologies. Patricia embraces the role that technology can and will play in driving more insights and in spurring ever more customizable ways of delivering those insights, and we could not be more excited to welcome her to our leadership team.”
CFRA’s proprietary approach provides a unique blend of fundamental equity; forensic accounting; legal and regulatory insights; and fund, public policy and technical research with cutting-edge data and analytics, all delivered via highly customizable, tech-driven approaches. Ms. Wilson’s joining CFRA closely follows the unveiling of FUNDynamix, a web-based platform that provides critical data and updates, specialized ETF monitoring, and analysis available on no other platform.
“Information and insights form the core of any successful research offering, and with CFRA our clients have access to a true mosaic of highly differentiated research resources delivering proven value,” said Ms. Wilson. “Where the opportunities exist, both for us and for our clients, is in further integrating each of our teams and offerings, and leveraging technology to drive more insights which can be delivered faster and in whatever format best suits each client’s needs. CFRA is a research powerhouse and I’m thrilled to get the chance to start telling this story."
