The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals overturning Berkeley, California’s 2019 ordinance banning natural gas interconnections may have ripple effects across the nation, as numerous cities and localities have adopted restrictions, although, if upheld, the ban only applies within the states that encompass the Ninth Circuit: California, Oregon, Arizona, Alaska, Idaho, Guam, Hawaii, Nebraska, Nevada, Washington State, and the Mariana Islands.
